Comedian Black Prince had the audience rolling with his outrageous physically charged humor imitating everything from prayer dancers to Olympian gymnast. However it was his dead on impression of Bernie Mac that won me over. Everyone in the audience took a shot in tribute to the recently deceased Bernie Mac.
Headliner Kool-Aide who has appeared on Bet’s Comic view was equally funny as he shared his views on issues such sex and relationships. His humorous insight on the male psyche was dead on. When he explained the method in which men watch porn when they’re alone every guy in the audience seemed to look as if their secret was exposed. But… What I also noticed about him was his keen fashion style. I loved his Kingston, Jamaican themed Addidas track suit jacket and most of all his kicks. Dude had on some nice Prada sneakers. I Gave him several style points for mixing a high-end designer with a fly street look.
I would’ve had photos however it was time for another episode of "My Life is a Sitcom." I began preparing for the evening by plugging up the battery for my camera. I figured about an hour would be sufficient to charge it. Then I started getting dressed. Before I left out the house I got on this crazy cleaning kick so I started to straighten up the house, loading the dishwasher, throwing food out the refrigerator etc. I threw on some tennis shoes to take out the trash & before I knew it I was running late for an 8pm show. So I grabbed my camera and purse and dashed out the door. Got all the way to the Improv checked my hair & makeup in the mirror and hopped out the car. As soon as my foot hit the ground something didn't feel right. I was too comfortable. I looked down and what did I have on my feet but some busted up tennis shoes. I couldn't believe that I forgot the change shoes so here I am at the Improv with a cute Bohemian top, straight leg jeans and busted up tennis shoes. I could go back home but…$hit! Gas is too high so I have to suck it up and make this look like I did this ish' on purpose. Once I get upstairs I find a seat in the corner because #1 I’m alone and being that it’s two for one night there are mad couples up in here and #2 I’m half @ss dressed. So here is where my personal comedy begins. I’m like this is cool I can do this besides I’m here to do a job, take some pics, and report the bizness. I reach into my purse for my camera and adjust the flash so I don’t get clowned for taking so many pics like some kinda comedian stalker. I set up my first shot and notice that my camera isn’t making any noise. Wassup with that!! I’ll tell you wassup, my damn battery is plugged into the wall socket at home. I have no other choice but to laugh out loud at my own crazy @$$ comedy.
On to some local gossip: Did I mention it was a couple thing Wednesday night @ The Improv? Ok so... I look around and what & who do I see? A local website entrepreneur/photographer boo'd up with a upcoming makeup artist who use to work in the Mac store (not gonna say which one). Aforementioned Makeup artist diva has recently branched with her own company. If you all are "in the mix" then you know who I'm talking about. I don't think they're trying to hid their relationship since said photographer had their recent Dominican Republic vacay pic's posted all over his site. Anywho...they're a cute couple and I love to see people out there dating. Good Luck!!
