Beyonce SHOCKED by 8ft tall Portrait after the Beyonce Mrs. Carter Concert... She autographed.

Houston photo journalist, Yolanda P. Smith secured an autograph from Beyonce' Knowles on an 8ft tall portrait of the international icon recently after the Mrs. Carter Show. Beyonce' treated her hometown fan’s to another stellar performance at The Toyota Center for a second time this year.

Yolanda Smith, a local photographer, acquired the larger than life sized portrait from Essence Magazine due to her yearly
Participation of the celebrated Essence Music Festival as a celebrity photo journalist. The photo is of a
"Fierce" Beyonce' performing at the 2010 Essence Festival.

Smith, a philanthropist contributes her time and skills volunteering at the Houston YWCA. Yolanda wanted the picture to be used for a worthy cause bringing awareness to the importance of supporting your local YWCA. Having the international singer sign the enormous piece presented a challenge until she came up with a plan to bring the portrait to the Mrs. Carter Show in Houston Dec 10, 2013.

Over the years Yolanda has had the privilege of having access to the inside world of stars and celebrities through her camera lenses. She got a glimpse of the other side as she waited outside in the cold among die-hard fans for an opportunity to ask Beyonce' to autograph her photograph. "All of a sudden we saw a black car speeding up the ramp and I knew it was her." Yolanda along with friends, held the life-sized framed picture out and the car came to a screeching halt. Beyonce' rolled the window down revealing her amazement at the proportion of the picture.

Photographer Yolanda Smith and Beyonce' briefly met each other earlier this year at The Essence Festival 2013. Beyonce' graciously autographed the portrait thanking Yolanda and responding like the professional that she is, even courteously returning Yolanda’s Smith Sharpie. "Here’ s your pen back."

Yolanda Smith still in awe and shock herself stated, "She didn’t have to stop. She had no idea of the purpose of signing my portrait. All that she knew was that she was stopping for a fan. She has no idea the magnitude of the moment. This portrait will raise money for The YWCA, an organization that supports so many women all over the world. Her act of kindness is bigger than this picture and even bigger than her signature. Her act of kindness, time and consideration is going to kick start a movement on a global scale to bring awareness and empowerment to young woman who benefit from the services that the YWCA provide."

The autographed portrait will be showcased at The YWCA of Houston "Take A Walk in Her Shoes" Shoe Soiree Shoe Painting Party and Silent Auction December 13, 2013. An event for the purpose of auctioning the autographed Beyonce' portrait benefitting The Houston YWCA
