Momentum Audi Spring Fashion Show

Houston magazine and Momentum Audi hosted a Spring Fete! featuring Fast Cars, Fashionn& Philanthropy. Momentum Audi also debuted the exclusive launch of the Audi Q5 and unveiled the portraits of Houston's 2009 Ovation Award.

Guest enjoyed mixing and mingling to the sounds of DJ Sun while they sipped signature cocktails courtesy of Grey Goose Vodka, and hors d'oeuvres by Demeris Catering.

Alvin Ailey @ Jones hall and Groovin' @ Grooves

The girls and myself had a fabulous time Friday night watching The Alvin Ailey Dance Troop at Jones Hall. It was definitely a nice cultural change of pace from the traditional Friday night bar lounge scene. There's something about sitting in a dark theatre anticipating the stimulation of vibrant lighting, exquisite costumes and electrifying dancers. My favorite section was a tribute to Otis Redding and of course Alvin Ailey's classic piece Resurrection. If you get a chance to catch a show at Jones Hall please do so...Guy's you'll win some major cool points if you take a chick to the theatre it's a very dark sexy place to snuggle.

Ryan Moats unreasonable detained

Houston Texan Ryan Moats was detained by a Dallas police officer as he pleaded that his mother-in-law was dying in the hospital. Moats was stopped directly across the street from hospital. The NFL player was not reckless in his attempt to reach his sick mother-in-law's bedside, the hazard lights were flashing on his vehicle and other motorist waved him through. This wasn't enough for a heartless officer to consider as he explained that he had received urgent call from hospital staff to rush to the hospital for his family members last moments. Instead of writing a quick ticket he gave Moats a 13 minute lecture of which was captured on videotape. Ultimately Moats arrived too late. His mother-in-law passed with her daughter at her bedside. Moat's wife was in the car and managed to get out and make it to her mother's bedside. Unbelievable...my heart goes out to his family. The officer has since been placed on administrative leave for his behavior none of which can replace precious moments lost. Somewhere in the back of my head my mental DJ kicked off N.W.A's Fuck The Police!!

Erykah Badu's Stalker Nabbed

Erykah Badu was confronted for the third time by a white female and her large dog at her residence today. Apparently the woman has imposed upon Erykah on several occassion even leaving bizaare items and drawings on her lawn. On prior encounters Erykah was compassionate towards the woman's mental and sternly advised the woman to keep her distance however today the neo-soul singer called the police. The woman was pepper sprayed, cuffed and dragged away. The incident caused Ms. Badu to be a little tardy for her performance at SXSW. Erykah was understandably shaken by the incident and shared the experience with her tweeps on Twitter. Erykah we are just glad that you are ok. God Bless

Bun B celebrated his birthday at Spice Thursday's @ Zeppelin. The Cool Kids performed a set in honor of the Birthday Boy. Houston Rockets forward Ron Artest dropped by to show respect and fellow twitter J Prince tweeted he was rolling through after kicking @ss at a couple of games of bowling. (I wonder who he served up.) Y'all this is all a second hand account of last night's events. It was on my social agenda to attend however with all of this pollen and what not in the air a chick couldn't make it. I can't blame it on the alcohol so I'll blame it on the Benadryl.

Carl Landry victim of drive by shooting

Houston Rockets forward Carl Landry was a victim of a drive by shooting early this morning (4:23am to be exact) downtown in the 3100 Block of Leeland. Apparently his vehicle was side swiped in what authorities are calling an attempted robbery. When Landry got out of his car to inspect the damage he was fired at twice and shot in the leg. Prior to the incident the Houston Rocket's charter jet had just arrived into Houston Hobby airport at approximately 12am from a victorious game over the Hornets in New Orleans. Landry lives in the downtown area and decided to go out and grab something to eat when the incident occurred. An associate of mine Ms. Tah Dah said it was also reported the injured Rocket ran for his life and had to knock on several doors begging for assistance and was repeatedly ignored. Can you imagine? Would you have opened your door for a bloody stranger at 4:30 in the morning? He was released from Memorial Hermann Hospital this morning.

God bless him my only question is why leave your house at that hour??!!! (Gettin' booty) Anyone who lives in Houston knows there are only two places to eat at that time and thats Whataburger and Denny's (none of which are downtown). My Ghetto CSI report is...This sounds more like he was leaving a late night creep session and was on his way home when the incident took place. Anywho! That's a grown ass man's bizness...I just want to know if that's the case then... DAMN! That trick ass heffa couldn't fix a brutha an after glow samich and some juice. Trifflin' ass hooker!

T.I. and Keri Hilson hit H-Town

The self proclaimed King of the South T.I . performed at the Arena Theatre this weekend as a part of his last tour prior to serving time for weapons charges. But why Lawd...does he have to drop his draaw's? Leave that ish' for Tiny. No pun intended lol!

Keri Hilson kicked the show off for T.I. and swung by Club Zula afterwards to turn us on with a couple of songs from her cd The World is Watching.

Gloss Magazine Fashion Show

Model Winnie rocked the runway at Houston Chronicle's Gloss Magazine Fashion show. The Galleria Ice Skating rink was transformed into a private high fashion runway. Who's who of Houston were all gathered to take a peek at the spring trends from Saks Fifth Avenue, M Missoni, Salvatore Ferragamo, Nordstrom, Billy Reid and Carolina Herrera and Fendi to name a few. The Art of Fashion at Neiman Marcus

002 Magazine's Carla Valencia de Martinez and Jeff Shell of Neal Hamil Agency presented The Art of Fashion Spring Fashion Show in the Neiman Marcus shoe department. Guest were treated to Saddlerock Wines and delicous bites from Arturo’s Uptown Italiano & Mariposa. I had an absolutely wonderful time... who wouldn't a fashion show in the shoe department what more can a fashionista ask for!
