Ral's Fine Catering presented a Epicurean Delight & Martini Social at The Gallery 6303 Beverly Hill St. Houston, Tx 77057. Invited guest were treated to a wide variety of Chef Ral's speciality dishes. Anything you could imagine was presented with a decadent culinary flair and sophisticated taste. Here's a few dishes that made me salivate: Beef Tips Marsala, Thai Chicken with Pineapple, Coconut Curry Sauce, Pecan Crusted Chicken with 6 Pepper Sauce, Chicken with Cilantro Sauce, Crawfish Ettoufee, the list goes on and on. I was in foodie Heaven. I think the ultimate sign that the food is delicious is when you lick your fingers. (I know that's not proper ettiqette but Damn...everything was so finger-licking good.) The food was soo delicious I found myself trying to find an excuse to have a catered party. A lot of the vendors were geared toward Brides and since I have no plans of getting married anytime soon, I decided that sometime in the near future that I will be having a "Single and Luvin it Soiree."

Martini Social

The Popular Spot was the Martini Station. Guest enjoyed a creative menu of signature martini's such as The Raspberry Magaritini, Mimotini, Mochatini, Pina Coladatini, Apple Martini, and of course The Good Ol fashion Dirty Martini. Last but not least my Fav the Ultra-Fab Creole Lady Martini made with Bourbon, Triple Sec, Lemon, Pineapple & Orange juice.

Event Planner Will Matthews and guest Corey enjoyed stimulating conversation & tantalizing libations at the Ral's Fine Catering Epicurean delight and Martini Social.

Pure Elegance Bridal Service gave us a glimpse of their talents and gifts. I am personally aware of their skills due to the fact I witnessed the awe and beauty of Pure Elegance's service at my good friend Monique Eke's wedding. Absolutely Breath-taking!

Hip Hop Doc Presents Soul Refined W/Chrisette Michelle

Chrisette Michelle performed at The Lyceum downtown Baton Rouge Thursday night to a sold-out audience of die hard fans. The crowd sang along with Chrisette as she belted out soulful blusey tunes such as "Blame it On Me" as well as many of her others hits.

Her voice is rich and textured with notes of a old jazz singer from decades past which sets her apart from many of the other contemporary vocalist today. Midway through her performance she paid homage to the women that inspired her such as Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, and Anita Baker. Her rendition of Anita Baker was KILLER! All the aformention noted she is also stunningly GORGEOUS in the flesh. The girls bone structure is off the meter. Im sure her makeup artist luvs to paint the beautiful canvas of her face. Speaking of canvas... There was a wonderful artist on hand that captured the essence of Chrisette Michelle and her music in a contemporary mixed art piece.

The Trends of the night were reflections of the ecclectic risk taker from Nuevo Harlem Renaissance to 70's POP color on down to modern Flapper chic.

Luvs it Baton Rouge!!!

Luvs to see the couples out having fun!!!

Stylin & Profilin' backstage w/Chrisette Michelle

Chrisette is wearing earrings by Karma Soul and Headpiece courtesy of J. Bolin

Jewelry designer Karma of Karma Soul International was invited to style and present Chrisette Michelle with a private Trunk Show of her new 2010 collection. J. Bollin a very prominent celebrity stylist, was also on hand to provide the full wardrobe service. Chrisette's dressing room was transformed into a mini boutique with tons of goodies and treats. I couldn't take it all in... I kept screamin' "Sick, Sick...ICU STAT." (My equivalent of Rachel Zoe's fav "I die".)

Creative juices were flowing during down time so we decided to have a lil fun which consist of Live Bizness Cards (inside joke), Freestyle Cipher Sessions and my Fav... The live On The Spot "Not Made For TV" 10 Minute Makeover. Check it out...

Publicist Honey Marie's day of rippin, runnin, and tending to last minute details obviously took a toll on her SWAG but lucky for her there was a 2 fly fashion stylists and a telephone booth near by (Ok, a mobile boutique on hand ;>)

Step 1> Hair. Off with the "corporate do" and on to the natural you... Step 2> Funky Fly New earrings by Karma Soul to accenuate neck and face. Step 3> Commit to the look with additional accessories courtesy J. Bolin. Now Media Professional Honey Marie is ready to go from a rough day of emailing and power meetings to night of networking, mixing and mingling.

Now that's how you go from Day to Night!!!

(all three girls did my hair. Maria was the main technician.) The Girls at the Paul Mitchell School hooked me up with a super haute asymetrical layered bob. (Kind hard to see in this pic.) It's also been a while since I had a deep scalp massaging shampoo. I really loved the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo that Maria used which gave my scalp a tingling sensation. I also absolutely luv'd how shiny my color was as well as the body my hair had was off the meter. Good looking out! My cousin suggested going to The Paul Mitchell School when I was trying to get my bouffant done at the last minue. Turned out to be a great tip. I definately will be back.
Now you know you always restyle your hair once you get home!

Social Privy Tip> Check out The Paul Mitchell School of Beauty for inexpensive hair services.

Social Privy Tip> Central Market is my Fav grocery store. I practically live there. On the weekends CM fires up the pit and host a live band on the patio. I caught a couple of songs from this band called the Jaime Casco Trio. Highly suggest you drop by for a bite to eat (Great Menu) and some live music.

I wish I could say that my experience at Ra Sushi was a pleasant one but... I can't tell a lie. It was a Hot Schezuan Terror-yaki Wok fried mess. Two hour wait for table due to 8o% party policy, to the waiter demanding a credit card at the time of placing my order, talkin bout... I need to start a tab. WTF, I'm ordering food not drinks are you kidding? I know what it really was about. It was Ninja night at Ra and he wasn't about to get stiffed on the ticket. Trying to make the best of the situation I offered to pay upfront. He proceeded to run down RA's policy. I politely asked him to skip the spill and tell me how much my bill would be. *Blank Stare* Whatev. Dude Beat it.
I asked to speak to the manager and had a mind boggling convo with what I gather was a waiter/actor posing as a manager (Dude wouldn't give me his last name.) After I finished listening to the all the bullish that came out of his mouth like "We are not a nightclub and yadi yadi ya.... " I waited for the "and scene" hand signal indicating that his lil matinee feature was over. (Funny thing is when I got home my twitter timeline was filled with how garbage Ra is.)
When in the company of fabulous people you try your best to overlook raggedy details of a shotty run bidness and make the best of it. Thank God for Good Friends & Alcohol.
