Sunday Morning Worship @St Johns

Pic 1>Sr Pastor Rudy Rasmus

I visited St Johns Church for the second time today. The first was many years ago and the church has definitely expanded. Today parishioner's were treated to a play that translated a biblical story into current times. Very entertaining & spiritual stimulating!!! I will be back.
I got the opportunity to fellowship with Solange Knowles in the church parking lot and was very impressed with her professionalism. She denied my request for a photograph (I previously photographed her fab shoes at the Q-Tip concert Friday night) due to this is a place of worship and her handsome young son Daniel was with her. You've got to respect that!
I know that this may sound a little bias after meeting her but...I sincerely liked her last Cd & wished she had received a little more luv. It was something new & different and I can appreciate an artist that takes risk. I've had the opportunity to see her grow up and she is a very classy lady. Oh yeah Solo, I luved your church lady outfit ...cute argyle sweater, knee length skirt and of course fab shoes!!!
Luv ;>

Keeping up with the Jone's at the Jones Hall with the extradordinary group of muscians and dancers from the Dance Ensemble of West Africa.

Eddie Grifffin @Improv

Eddie Griffin dropped in the Improv for a 2 day tour and ended up extending his stay for 12 am show of which was also sold out. I caught up with Eddie backstage and... words can not express the depth of our conversation. Regardless of his style, sense of humor or material onstage off stage... this man's mental spirituality is impressive. I walked away from the conversation shaking my head like Damn!!! He said that!!!

The Cool Kids@Wherehouse Live

The Cool Kids is a hip hop duo from Chicago, Illinois and Detroit, Michigan. The duo consists of Antoine "Mikey Rocks" Reed and Evan "Chuck Inglish" Ingersoll. The Cool Kids' music has been released primarily via their MySpace page, but have been signed to the independent Chocolate Industries via their own label C.A.K.E. Recordings.

This was my first time hearing The Cool Kids. I was very impressed with there musical style... a lil hip hop... a lil southern flava. My Fav part of the show was the stanky leg contest.

This young lady was lifted out of the audience to show how it's really done!!!!
Goaaaughh Girl!!!!

Qtip@Wherehouse Live

Ok! Y'all clean all the gunk out your ears... it's showtime!!!

Yes! He did a wardrobe change from dapper rapper with scarf swagger to ol' school B Boy white T-Shirt, jeans & fly kicks!

I nearly caught the Hip Hop holy spirit when he pulled out the tamborine and went to Chuuurch wit it!!!!!

One chick in the crowd recited his lyrics back to him line for line!!! I know he luved that!

Q-Tip blessed the stage & took a bow.

Damian Wayans@ Houston Improv

I got the chance to hangout with Damian Wayans after he performed at The Improv Monday night. He has a total different personality off stage (of course). Very professional & courteous. He had his gorgeous son with him... Damn those Wayans have good genes.
